The NSW Government has thanked those who showed courage and compassion during Saturday’s stabbing spree at Bondi Junction in Sydney.
Six people died, and several others were injured at a Sydney shopping centre, after a 40-year-old man with a history of mental illness attacked people with a large knife.
Bega MP, Dr Michael Holland, has given his condolences to the families of victims of the deadly knife attacks at Bondi Junction Westfield.
“I speak for all residents of the Bega electorate in expressing the great sorrow at the tragic loss of life in Bondi Junction on Saturday,” Dr Holland said.
“Our community’s thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones and those who have witnessed such terrible violence.”
“On behalf of the Bega Electorate, I thank the first responders including NSW Police and NSW Ambulance services as well as many other brave individuals.
“And I want to thank the health service workers at our NSW hospitals who helped save further lives.”
Dr Holland said the incident which involved the death of a 38-year-old mother Ashlee Good and the stabbing of her nine-month-old daughter, has been felt heavily, on the Far South Coast.
