Police have charged the driver of a car after the first fatal crash of the year here on the Far South Coast.
A 36-year-old woman died in the crash on Mt Dromedary Trail at 1am on Monday 5 January 2026.
Police have revealed this morning they issued the 32-year-old driver with a Future Court Attendance Notice after a lengthy investigation.

He’s facing numerous charges including Dangerous driving occasioning death, drink driving and use an unregistered motor vehicle on road.
He is listed to face Bega Local Court tomorrow.
