It has taken a jury of 12 people just five minutes to acquit a Batemans Bay man from a charge of using a stolen car as a weapon against police between Shellharbour and Kiama.
Bega District Court heard Cameron Joel Thompson had pled guilty to a number of charges from an incident at Dunmore in July last year but denied the single count of using a weapon against police to avoid capture.
The court was told Thompson drove at high speed directly at a marked and unmarked police car to avoid getting arrested.

He is still to be sentenced for the other charges.
