A court has been told a man can be heard on CCTV footage referring to the presence of a camera before breaking into one of our radio station transmitter sites.
Alec Harvey from Berrambool admitted to stealing 500 litres of diesel from an emergency back up generator.
In the video of the incident on August 14 Harvey, who was on parole in Victoria is heard saying “Oi there’s another camera there bud. Oi
Other person – Yer
Harvey – There’s a camera up on the roof aye.
Other person – Is there?
Harvey – Yer. Go for it still or what?
Harvey also pleaded guilty to entering land with intent to commit an indictable offence and having his face blackened or disguised with intent to commit an indictable offence.
Judge Doug Dick sentencing him to a maximum one years in jail with a non-parole period of four months.
A co-offender is still before the courts.
