Narooma Rotary Club Duck Race coordinator Antoinette Lee says it was a battle between the tidal flow and the southerly wind in the big event this year.
The annual Australia Day tradition attracted 1000 entrants to raise funds for the club’s 2026 projects including Tertiary Scholarship and Apprenticeships.
After a flying start off Narooma Bridge, almost all entrants slowly drifted north and took refuge in Mill Bay.

Only six ducks actually made it to the finishing line, all with heads down and bottoms up.
Duck 683 was the clear winner, purchased by Antonia Lukic who won $1,000.
