The manslaughter trial of a Long Beach man has been transferred to Sydney following a request from his lawyer and the DPP.

Prosecutors allege Craig Virtue was “negligent in his actions to save” his partner Kerry Reinhardt in 2020 after she became distressed by the bushfires.

The 54-year-old has pleaded not guilty to one count of manslaughter after the inquest into her death was paused part heard.
