Bega Valley Shire Council has admitted submitting a development application for a tiny house on wheels would cost a minimum $20,000.
The admission in the most recent ordinary council meeting comes amidst a public battle with Coolagolite man Josh Heins who’s been told he has 90 days to pack his things and get out.

Director Emily Harrison was answering a question from Councillor Peter Haggar.
“It’s approximately $20,000. That’s if you are in a town or village that has is connected to reticulated water and town sewer services,” Ms Harrison said.
“That definitely doesn’t include consultant reports that might be required as part of a DA but they are not the only costs required to be paid for a secondary dwelling,” she said.
Secondary dwellings are permitted in all zones except RU4.
