A penalty goal by Tyrone Nye on the fulltime siren has delivered a 10-all draw between Batemans Bay and Narooma in the Group 16 Men’s First Grade Competition.
The Tigers trailed 10-8 until some ill-discipline in the final stages of the game cost the Devils the win.

Tigers Captain Scott Kalsbeek said it’s the one that got away.
“Goalkicking killed us mate. We missed three conversions I think but anyway. It’s one of those things,” Kalsbeek said.
“Our discipline was good. Got a bit scrappy there at the end but you know we’ve got a couple of old heads like myself and a few other boys to help keep it calm,” he said.
Devils Captain Coach Kieran Wyld said despite the gaming ending in a draw it feels like a loss.
“It hurts more because we had good defence with two minutes to go and took them over the sideline,” Wyld said.
“I sought of thought that’s the game. It does feel like a loss. Batemans Bay were treating it like a win and fair enough,” he said.

In other results Tathra defeated Bombala 32-24, Merimbula Pambula beat Cooma 30-12 and Eden finished in front of Moruya 32-24.
