Bermagui to be painted blue and yellow

Excitement is building in Bermagui ahead of the AFL Sapphire Coast Grand Finals this weekend.

The Breakers to play in four deciders including the Senior Women’s and Men’s games.

It’s the first time the club will feature in the Senior Men’s Grand Final since they formed 35 years ago.

Locals gathered at the club last night getting ready to paint the town blue and yellow.

President Phil Summerfield said they’ve made up plenty of signs.

“Many of the local shops are going to put them in their windows,” he said.

“We’ve got a sign outside the front of the ground now just letting everyone know the games are on.

“Our youth girls and Under 13’s are in the Grand Finals as well which is a huge achievement for a little town like Bermi.”
