Warning issued to stay away from the water

Far South Coast boaters and rock fishers are being warned to stay out of the water.. with dangerous conditions forecast today.

A southerly swell up to six metres could hit the Batemans and Eden Coasts…along hazardous surf.

Wind gusts of up to 100k’s per hour and 50 knots out to sea are forecast. The weather may also limit rescue operations.

Marine Rescue NSW said now is not the time to take risks.

“It’s going to be incredibly dangerous on the ocean. We’re asking to please head the warnings. Don’t endanger yourselves by hitting the water,” Marine Rescue NSW Acting Deputy Commissioner Dan Duemmer said.
