A Canberra senior public servant has been told she should be very, very embarrassed after being convicted of mid range drink driving after coming to visit her mum at Moruya.

Batemans Bay Local Court has been told Melaine Bibrowicz returned a reading of point-098 after she was breath tested on the Princes Highway last November.

Court documents state she had drunk two bottles of sav blanc the night before her late morning run-in with the law.

Her lawyer told Batemans Bay Local Court…her client held a senior role at a community agency in the national capital and the offence and its consequences would negatively affect her employment.

The 47-year-old’s been ordered to perform 100 hours of community service, lose her licence for three months and fit an Interlock device to her Hyundai Tuscon for a year once she can drive again.
