Truck driver allegedly tests positive to illegal substance after rollover

A driver that rolled his truck down Brown Mountain on Wednesday, will face court after allegedly testing positive to prohibited drugs.

Emergency services were called to the Snowy Mountains Highway about half way down the Brown, where a truck rolled onto it’s side then it’s roof before bouncing off a guard rail and hitting a car around 5:45pm on Wednesday.

Both the driver of the truck and car were assessed by NSW Ambulance Paramedics but incredibly no one was injured.

Traffic was affected in both directions with some motorists enduring delays of around two hours.

The incident was cleared by 10:15pm on Wednesday.

A South Coast Police spokesperson told ARN Bega Bay the truck driver was taken to Bega Police Station for secondary testing and will face court at a later date.
