More details are coming to light about the dire financial situation of a local arts facility.
According to the business paper for today’s Bega Valley Shire Council meeting, the Twyfold Theatre Complex Board has requested they take over operation of the facility in Merimbula.
They have also requested the council give back the $37,000 other paid off their loan so they can pay some other bills.

The council has confirmed the theatre’s board, which includes councillor Helen O’Neill as a member, would hold a $370,000 debt to ratepayers if the payment was temporarily refunded.
