The victim of a terrifying road rage incident that lasted from the Clyde Mountain to Batemans Bay Police Station says the perpetrators should be facing stiffer punishment.

Police have issued a P-Plate driver and two of his passengers with infringement notices after the incident on Sunday night.

Sonia Woollett was travelling with her partner and two children home from the Raiders Souths game up in Canberra on Sunday night when she claims a ute attempted to ram their vehicle and dangerously overtook them and impeded the road in front of them coming down the Clyde.

Police have confirmed the teenage driver has been fined $818.

The driver also lost his licence after being penalised 12 demerit points.

His two passengers were each fined $410 for placing parts of their body outside a travelling vehicle.

Ms Woollett said the punishment does not fit the crime.

“A few other people have come forward and said this is not the first incdence with these group of boys,” she said.

“I have heard word but cannot confirm a 17-year-old girl was targeted in a previous incident.

“I feel like more should be done and the driver and passengers should be facing time.”

She was also fined $500 for littering after throwing a bottle of Sprite and a multi-tool at the offending vehicle in what she called “self defence”.

Ms Woollett said she will be challenging her fine.
