Quick thinking by a truck driver and a quick response from firefighters has avoided a potential damaging fire.
The Fire and Rescue Merimbula crew called out yesterday morning to a garbage truck fire.
When the driver noticed his load was alight he dumped the contents out in the Merimbula Boat Ramp car park.

The firefighters then went to work to put it out.
