There are fewer bumps on Far South Coast roads following a blitz on potholes.
The Minns Government revealing they have filled in more than 106,000 holes across NSW this financial year. 45,000 in the south of the state including our region.
Roads Minister Jenny Aitchison smade the announcement during a visit to a road upgrade at Mogo this morning.
She said they inherited a massive backlog to fix from the previous government.
“We have now really improved the status of the road network,” Mrs Aitchison said.
“We’ve got an increase of six percent on the number of roads or proportion of roads that are pothole free since we came to government which is absolutely fantastic,” she said.
“We’ve been focusing on that with funding to councils as well as our funding to the state road network and obviously this year after a few years of wet weather we really pushed on bringing forward money from future budgets to make that work.”
