Works for the new Pambula Lake boat ramp upgrade will start today (Wednesday July 19).
In this stage of the project, council contractors, GPM Marine Constructions, will be replacing the existing gangway and pontoon to improve accessibility and capacity. This is expected to be complete by the end of August.
The exit road between the oyster shed and boat ramp will be closed during this time, however access to the boat ramp will remain open via the entry road off Landing Road.
A Bega Valley Shire Council Spokesperson said council will keep the community updated as the project progresses.
The new boat ramp and pontoon has been designed to Transport for NSW Maritime’s Facility Guidelines.
The Pambula Lake boat ramp pontoon upgrade project is primarily funded by the NSW Government’s Boating Now Program Round Three, with some funding from Council.
