Police say initial indications are a fire in the Batemans Bay suburb of Surf Beach overnight was it was deliberately lit.
RFS and Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called to the blaze off Beach Road between Surf Beach and Wimbie Beach around 6:30.
What started as a small scrub fire quickly spread to nearby bushes before it was extinguished.
