No red tape for local not-for-profits setting up fundraisers at events like markets across the Bega Valley.
An amendment moved at council’s monthly meeting this week resulted in an exemption being granted from all application processing and event fees.
Mayor Russell Fitzpatrick said the responsibility for approvals will sit with the event organisers.

The decision comes after the council received a stack of objections to the original proposal from the community.
