Nominations for Bega Valley Medallion Award close today

Today is the last chance for Bega Valley locals to nominatate a member of the commuinity for the Bega Valley Medallion Award.

The Bega Valley Medallions will be presented at the community Australia Day event on the 26th January 2023.

Council is calling on people to recognise the efforts of friends, neighbours, colleagues, family and other members of the community.

“There are many deserving people in our community who do wonderful things that often go unnoticed and now is the time to acknowledge the shire’s inspiring community members and reward their efforts,” a council spokesperson said.

“This could be someone working in education, health, fundraising, charitable and voluntary services, business, sport, arts, the environment or any other area that contributes to the advancement and wellbeing of our community.

“Being nominated for a Bega Valley Medallion is a great honour and a wonderful opportunity to appreciate our outstanding community members.”

Nominations should include information about a person’s service to the community or of a distinguished performance over the past 12 months.

To nominate someone, visit Council’s website and fill in the form or email council@begavalley.nsw.gov.au by 5 December.
