“There will be a number of factors the judges will be looking for and it’s not just how many nominations a business gets,” Mr Ayling said.

“There will be three finalists announced for each category on May 18 then tickets will go on sale from 25 May,” he continued.

“We will have to restrict ticket sales to finalists to ensure every business gets a chance to attend.”

Event organizer Amanda Watkin said everything was coming together for the big event which will be held on the third Saturday in June.

“We are expecting around 300 attendees from around 50 businesses,” Ms Watkin said.

“It will be a Black Tie event with a sit down 3 course menu and entertainment so it will be a great chance for everyone to get dressed up and celebrate the success of our local businesses,” she added.

“Winners can even go on to nominate for the Business NSW state business awards.”

Local radio station Power FM Bega Bay and the Bega District News have jumped on board as media partners for the event with Power FM Breakfast Announcer and Content Director, Brad Blissett, to MC the event.
