A new rescue helicopter service base is set to be established on the Far South Coast.
The State Government allocating funding in the NSW Budget yesterday for the facility at Moruya Airport.
It will be one of three new bases to be built across the state.

Our region is currently serviced by Toll Aeromedical choppers out of Canberra and Wollongong.
Local State MP Michael Holland said Merimbula Airport was considered as a location but in the end Moruya was considered the most suitable location.
