A man has been refused bail after fronting court charged in connection to four attempted robberies in Bega.
Between 1.20pm and 1.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 27 October 2026), police were called to four retail stores in Bega, following reports of robberies at each location.
Bega Valley Police Commander, Chief Inspector Shane Jessop said officers were told a man allegedly threatened staff and demanded money, before leaving.
“Police located and arrested a 24-year-old man nearby, before he was taken to hospital for assessment and remains under police guard,” Chief Inspector Jessop said.
“The good news is that there was no one harmed or injured in relation to any of these matters,” he said.
“Inquiries are continuing.”
Police confirmed the alleged offender is known to them.
Aharon Love- Myers was charged with three counts of demand property with menaces with intent to steal, and robbery.
The incidents come just a few weeks after another man allegedly tried to hold up the nearby Commonwealth Bank. He remains before the courts.
Love-Myers made no application for release during a brief appearance in the online Bail Review Court from Batemans Bay Police Station today.
Judge Susan McGowan formally refused bail and ordered Live-Myers to front Bega Local Court on November 10.
