Six people are lucky to be alive after the driver of a car fell asleep behind the wheel on the South Coast.
The Bawley Point Rural Fire Service, NSW Police and NSW Ambulance Paramedics were called to the Princes Highway at Lemon Tree Creek Road, near Termeil, just south of Tabourie around 3.30pm on Tuesday (June 13).
The driver of a car travelling north with three passengers inside, reportedly fell asleep and crashed into a car travelling south.
The couple in the car that was hit received injuries from the airbags while the passengers in the other car with the sleeping driver also sustained minor injuries.
The RFS are reminding motorists in the South East to pull over and take a break or have a nap if drivers are feeling tired.
