Hope has turned to despair for relatives and friends of a Shoalhaven fisherman – missing since Saturday off the Far South Coast.
It follows the discovery of his fishing boat – about 80 nautical miles off Narooma yesterday – 56-year-old Geoff Buchanan was not aboard.
His 8 metre vessel was being towed back to shore by a commercial fishing vessel – and the widespread search has been suspended for the moment – although Police say they’ll continue to patrol the area for any sign of Mr Buchanan.
