Member for Bega, Dr Michael Holland has been appointed Parliamentary Secretary for Health and Regional Health by NSW Premier, Chris Minns.
Dr Holland, is one of the 13 appointments that was announced on Wednesday (April 26).
The Far South Coast representative who was a doctor for 42 years, served around 20 years as an obstetrician in the Eurobodalla.
The state representative for the electorate of Bega told East Coast Radio he was thrilled to be appointed to the roles by the Premier.
“I am honoured to have been appointed Parliamentary Secretary for Health and Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Health by the Hon Chris Minns,” Dr Holland said.
“It’s a wonderful privilege to work with the new Minister for Health and Minister for Regional Health, the Hon Ryan Park and my parliamentary colleagues to urgently fix our damaged health system,” he said.
“It is my responsibility to improve health services across New South Wales including where my work started in the Bega electorate.
“After 12 years of Liberal National government, it is time for a fresh start.
“As a doctor of 42 years, it is an opportunity to extend my work in a field which I know and enjoy while serving my electorate and my state.”
