The Eurobodalla Shire Mayor has used a council meeting to express concern over a violent armed robbery at a Narooma pub.
The Narooma Hotel on the town’s main road was targeted by a man brandishing a gun last Friday night.
Matt Hatcher wished the 31-year-old pub employee shot by the bandit a speedy recovery.
“It was a very unfortunate criminal event. I would like to acknowledge Thomas, who was unfortunately shot in that incident and his partner Mercedes who are up in Canberra now,” Councillor Hatcher said.
“I was down at the pub last night. There were 50 odd people in it,” he said.
“A lot of people affected. A lot of people administered first aid so I just though I would send our thoughts to that community for what they are going through and to the police and first responders that had to deal with that as well.

The police investigation into the incident is continuing. No arrests have been made at this stage.
