A Moruya man caught driving twice within a few days while his licence was suspended has been warned if he does it again, he is driving himself straight to jail.
Jack Robert Wiffen fronted Batemans Bay Local Court after pleading guilty to the traffic offences in the town.
His solicitor Adam Sumbak told the court, on both occasions, his client was driving his daughter a short distance away because of issues involving his partner’s ex.
He added Wiffen needs his licence to find work in the construction industry.
But Magistrate Doug Dick convicted him and placed him on an 18-month Community Corrections Order.
He also imposed an extra 12-month licence suspension once his current one runs out in November and ordered him to pay $4000 in fines.
