Man critical after motorbike crash at Nelligen

A man has been airlifted to The Canberra Hospital in a critical condition following a crash on the Kings Highway.

The motorcyclist was riding between Braidwood and Batemans Bay when the incident occurred around 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon.

Detective Inspector Justin Marks says the crash happened near The River Road at Nelligen.

“The man clipped the rear wheel of another motorcycle and has lost control and impacted with a guard rail,” he said.

“He received significant injuries and was initially helped at the scene by passers-by until ambulance paramedics arrived on scene.”
