A chef working in Batemans Bay has been told by a judge he needs to stop driving straight away after pleading guilty to getting behind the wheel while suspended for the second time.
Batemans Bay Local Court has been told Ewahunkpo Koffi Boniface from Canberra also has similar offences in the ACT.
Judge Michael Love questioned the accuracy of a reference submitted for Boniface ahead of his sentencing.
Judge Michael Love asked “Does the writer of this reference even know the accused? They state it is completely out of character. I would say it is completely in character.”
Lawyer Lisa Stone responded “I don’t think there is more I can add.”
Judge Michael Love has told Boniface “You were speeding as well, which makes it worse. You need to find work that doesn’t require you to drive.
The man from Ghana banned from driving for a further seven months and fined $1100.
