Police are still to reveal exactly how a car ran into and killed two men in Tura Beach on Sunday night.
Emergency services were alerted to the double fatality on Pacific Way at 9:30pm.
The collision occurred near Short Point Beach where a 50km/ph speed limit is in place.
The driver of the white Nissan Dualis involved, a 45-year-old woman, was uninjured but taken to South East Regional Hospital in Bega for mandatory testing.
The 55-year-old and 70-year-old victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Specialist accident investigators have attended and gathered evidence as detectives investigate the tragedy.
