Critical passenger flights to and from the Far South Coast look set to be maintained after a deal was struck overnight to sell regional airline REX.
The Federal Government has kept the debt riddled company afloat with $130 million since it went into voluntary liquidation in July last year.
Under the terms of the sale, American operator Air T will have to pay that money back to Canberra.

REX operates from numerous regional locations across Australia including Merimbula and Moruya airports.
