The best beaches on the Far South Coast have been revealed for the hot months ahead.
The latest State of the Beaches Report, that rates the water quality of swimming spots, found things have improved. Narooma Main Beach, Brou Beach at Bodalla, Broulee Beach, Malua Bay Beach, and Cookies Beach all rated as ‘very good’.
The results welcomed by local State MP Michael Holland, who said our beaches and waterways are central to life here on the Far South Coast for recreation, tourism and community wellbeing.
“It’s encouraging to see local swimming spots performing so well in this year’s State of the Beaches Report,” he said.
“These results reflect the care our community takes in protecting our natural environment and the ongoing investment in water quality monitoring.
“I encourage everyone to continue checking Beachwatch updates before heading out for a swim, particularly after heavy rain, to help keep our waterways safe for all.”
