A petition to stop a proposal for the re-opening of the Bournda Downs Quarry is the first item on the agenda at a Bega Shire Council meeting later today.
It is the first of two meetings to be held this month compared to the usual one due to the large volume of items currently be dealt with.
A proposal to formally seek full funding for a new two lane concrete Cuttagee Bridge will also be voted on.

Councillors will also discuss releasing draft budget documents include how much rates and fees and charges will rise by next financial year.
