The owner of successful local business, BayCoast Electrical, has pleaded guilty a raft of charges for drug driving, contravening an AVO, stalking and using a carriage service to menace, harass or offend and breaching previous court orders.

Batemans Bay Local Court has been told Shannon Matthew Stokes drug driving arrest on September 5 occurred just two days after being busted for the same thing, which both involved meth.

The 50-year-old also admitted to sending 38 threatening texts to his sister, some which his lawyer argued were responses to messages from her.

Stokes sat in the court with his wife and daughter by his side waiting to be sentenced.

While his family may have appeared to be showing the electrician support, Stoke’s lawyer Wayne Boom was cautious in going that far.

He told the court while his client’s very large business was starting to be affected by his drug addiction his biggest problem was his wife.

Mr Boom told Magistrate Doug Dick she had just told him that her support for her husband was now paper thin, and she was at breaking point.

Magistrate Doug Dick fined Stokes a total of $5800 and cancelled his licence for a year to run concurrently with previous suspension.
