A Catalina man accused of domestic violence offences has been granted bail in one court than sentenced to three years jail in another about an hour later.

Jesse John Edmunds appeared in Batemans Bay Local Court via video link yesterday morning from prison where he successfully argued to be released from South Coast Correction Centre.

The 28-year-old then faced Bega District Court for sentencing over a violent assault on a man in his home in July 2024.

Judge Andrew Haesler ordered him to serve his three-year prison stint as an Intensive Corrections Order.

He’s also been ordered to perform 200 hours of community service work.

Edmunds was only in court last week where he was fined and placed on a Community Corrections Order for drug driving.
