Motorists driving up and down Brown Mountain are being urged to take extra care because of the current weather conditions.
Snow, wind and black ice have made the road connecting the Bega Valley to the Monaro and Canberra quite dangerous.
Police report a number of trucks have jackknifed on the mountain in the past 24 hours.
