A woman has been sentenced after being caught speeding returning to Batemans Bay following a boozy lunch with the girls at Ulladulla RSL Club.

Aimee Maree Makoric has appeared in Batemans Bay Local Court after pleading guilty to three charges including speeding and drink driving.

The court heard she was pulled over on the Cullendulla Strait not far from the Bay.

Her lawyer told the court she was not driving at an excessive speed but this was exacerbated by the high alcohol reading she returned.

Makoric was fined $150 for the speeding offence and $1400 for the drink driving.

She was also suspended from driving for three months, ordered to have an interlock device fitted to her car for one year and given an ID order requiring her to have her photo and fingerprints taken by police.
