Senior police are currently considering if they charge one of their own after being served with an interim AVO.
Batemans Bay Local Court has been told an investigation into allegations against 49-year-old former detective Andrew Tyler have now been completed.
His lawyer requested a one-week adjournment of the matter while the Officer-In-Charge makes a decision on whether to charge his client.

The police officer will reappear in court next Monday.
