Batemans Bay Local Court has been told a fire was allegedly lit outside the local KFC as a diversionary tactic so the Catalina Country Club could be robbed.
Joshua Dylan Jones-Hicks is one of three people charged in connection to the alleged ram raid at the end of last month, where a cash machine with almost $60,000 was taken.
The 26-year-old yesterday asked the court to be released on bail, offering live under virtual house arrest in the Canberra suburb of Ngunnawal.

But Magistrate Brian van Zuylen rejected the request and remanded him in custody until his next appearance on November 24.
