The university’s Mellissa Kavanagh said the immediate effects of bushfires on communities are well documented but not the impacts years later.

“If you live or work in the Eurobodalla Shire, you’re over 16 years old, and were affected by the bushfires in 2019/2020, we’d love to hear from you,” she said.

“We are hosting a community survey session where you can share your experiences in a friendly and supportive environment. We provide lunch, digital and paper copies of the survey, and our team are on hand to assist and answer questions.

“The survey takes 30 minutes, and you receive a $30 gift card when you complete the survey to thank you for your time.”

You can also still complete the survey online or by calling (03) 9903 0298 to schedule a time.

Feedback closes on 13 July 2025.
