We’re seeking an experienced and proactive Early Childhood Centre Cook to join our team full-time (38 hours per week). This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, allergy-aware, and confident working in a busy, fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for planning and preparing nutritious, balanced meals for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years — with a strong focus on dietary needs, food safety, and kitchen efficiency. Key Responsibilities -Plan and prepare a rotating weekly menu aligned with the Australian Dietary Guidelines -Deliver morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea daily across multiple age groups -Ensure all meals meet allergy, intolerance, and cultural dietary requirements with strict attention to detail -Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen in accordance with NSW Food Safety Standards and the National Quality Framework -Complete and document daily food safety checks, including temperature logs and cleaning schedules -Manage kitchen inventory and place grocery orders in a timely, cost-effective manner -Work closely with educators to support food-related learning experiences and centre events -Model and promote healthy eating practices within the centre -Support our sustainability goals through mindful kitchen practices and contribute ideas for reducing food waste and improving environmental impact

Skills Required
