Arts Programming Officer

This position is a fixed term full-time role in the Community Development and Participation team until Friday 25 June 2027, based at The Bay Pavillions located in Batemans Bay. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a structured program of creative arts activities and workshops that promote community participation, skills development and engagement in the arts. Working with artists, community groups, cultural organisations and internal stakeholders, the position creates inclusive and accessible programs that reflect local needs, strengthen creative pathways and encourage participation across all ages and abilities. As part of the Creative Arts Team, the role supports the delivery of high-quality, well-planned and well-promoted arts programs that build community capacity, support local creatives and contribute to Council’s cultural development objectives. The starting salary for this position is $2,720.64 per fortnight plus 12% superannuation. Skills Required

You’re an organised and community‑focused arts professional with a passion for delivering inclusive and engaging creative programs. You enjoy working with artists, volunteers and community groups and bring a collaborative, practical approach to your work. To be successful in this role your application will demonstrate: Relevant qualification in arts, community development, administration or a related field, or equivalent experience coordinating arts programs or similar administrative roles. Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage small projects, balance competing priorities and work autonomously within agreed guidelines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience supervising volunteers and working collaboratively in a team environment. Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service in a public-facing or community-focused setting. Sound judgement and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop innovative solutions within policies and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with experience in desktop publishing, records and data management.
