Skills Required
What we’re looking for Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs or willing to obtain within 12 months. Demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal communities. Experience in providing one-on-one support to clients experiencing substance misuse issues. Demonstrated experience working to trauma-informed practices. Excellent culturally appropriate verbal and written communication skills. Experience in facilitating groups, conducting community events or running projects. Demonstrated understanding of the issues and barriers that impact upon the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal people. Ability to collect data, write reports and client notes.
