School holiday youth workshop – Foam Printing

Celebrate Youth Week with us by making cool block prints using foam sheets! Draw designs on foam sheets, then apply paint to them to create relief prints on sheets of paper. The texture of the foam creates a cool inked effect.

Printmaking is one of the fine arts (including painting, drawing, collage, and sculpture) that involves making a “master plate” that you then use to make multiple images printed in reverse. As the foam sheets are pulled off, it’s fun to see the designs appear!

This simple craft is a great way to use craft foam. There are so many ways to print, it’s almost endless.

This workshop is designed for ages 12 and up.
