Narooma and Tilba Water stories
Narooma Historical Society’s poster exhibition embraces the History Council of NSW’s Water theme for September’s celebration of history.
These are great stories Society members want to share with the wider community.
It includes stories about Tilba Tilba’s early water scheme and hydroelectric scheme, how Narooma had a reticulated water scheme before Moruya and Batemans Bay, the frustrations of crossing Wagonga Inlet over the years, the importance of sea access for settlements like Narooma, and the importance of quality water in Wagonga Inlet inlcuding a Narooma High project.
Everyone is welcome to the free talk about the exhibition on Saturday 20 September at 10.30am. Please book naroomahistoricalsociety@gmail.com to be sure of a seat.
