Multi-generational Inclusive Recreation Area (MIRA) Information Session

Pambula/Merimbula Lion’s Club have embarked on a major community project for a Multi-generational Inclusive Recreation Area (MIRA) in Tura Beach.

The project is aimed at creating:
• An inviting community space, which is safe, attractive, and fun.
• Encouraging a healthy engagement with nature/outdoors, education and supports social interaction.
• A free community place for individuals of all ages and families to come together, build inter-generational social connections and nurture a sense of belonging and community.
• Inclusive area which provides dignity to those with different abilities.
• New toilets and BBQ facilities

Landscape architects have been engaged to develop a Concept Design for MIRA which is the first critical step of the Project. The Concept Design is an essential part of the full application to Council, expected to be submitted this year.

Tura Marrang Library are hosting an information session on Saturday 27 April 2024, 11am – 12pm and everyone is welcome to come along to learn more about this exciting development and contribute to the design.
