LEGACY BADGE WEEK
Our servicemen and women have given so much for our country. This Legacy Week, it’s our turn to give back. BATEMANS BAY LEGACY is calling on the local community to step up this Legacy Week (30 August – 5 September) to support veterans’ families. The annual appeal has been a cornerstone of the iconic charity’s fundraising efforts since the 1940s, with thousands of volunteers selling badges and bears to raise funds. We will be selling Badges and Bears in Bridge Plaza, Village Centre and Bunnings on Thursday 3rd, Friday 4th and Saturday 5th of September. This Legacy Week carries even greater significance, following the most significant change in Legacy’s 100‑year history – an expansion of eligibility that has opened the door to thousands more families. With more families now eligible for support, Legacy expects demand for its services to grow, making this Legacy Week one of the most important yet. How you can help this Legacy Week: Volunteer: Join the thousands of volunteers across the nation who dedicate their time to sell badges and organise events. Donate: Even the smallest gifts make a big difference. Donations can be made online at legacy.com.au/donate or by purchasing a Legacy badge or bear from a volunteer.
