Headland Writers Festival

The Headland Writers Festival will officially launch its 2026 program at the newly opened Headland Theatre in Tathra.

This special evening will unveil the full 2026 festival lineup and mark the opening of submissions for the Olga Masters Short Story Award, celebrating stories about life in regional Australia.

Guests will also enjoy a live panel conversation featuring acclaimed local authors Inga Simpson and Kate Liston-Mills, hosted by Gabbie Stroud. The discussion will explore storytelling, the strength of short stories, and the influence of nature on creative writing.
