Dying to Know Day: Exploring End-of-Life Choices, Care and What Matters Most

Exploring End-of-Life Choices, Care and What Matters Most is a free event hosted by the Compassionate Care Collective, designed as a gentle and practical space where people can simply listen, gather information, ask questions if they wish, and begin thinking about end-of-life matters before a crisis occurs. This is for anyone who wants to feel more informed, prepared and supported around end-of-life matters. You might be planning for yourself, caring for someone else, supporting a loved one, working or volunteering in community care, or simply curious about what choices and supports are available locally. Shanna Provost will facilitate a panel conversation with people who bring lived and professional experience in end-of-life care, along with optional smaller conversations, practical activities and local information stalls. You are welcome to take part in the way that feels right for you — listen quietly, ask a question, browse flyers, visit stallholders or join a conversation. What to expect: A welcoming, respectful and non-clinical community setting A panel conversation with local voices and end-of-life perspectives Optional smaller conversations for those who would like to ask questions or share reflections Information about planning, care, grief, choices and local supports Gentle creative and practical activities to explore at your own pace Flyers and resources you can browse or take home Accessibility and inclusion: We aim to create a safe, inclusive and respectful space for people with different beliefs, experiences, cultures, family situations and end-of-life choices. You are welcome whether you want to join in actively or simply listen and take information home. With thanks to Proveda for grant funding support, and local legends Catfish Design and Shanna Provost.
